Handball Club Toronto finishes 7th in Chicago Tournament

In the second tournament of the season Handball Club Toronto shook off the pandemic rust. It was a great showing for a shorthanded club finishing the tournament in 7th place. Featuring 12 teams from across the United States, it was a great test for our players. In the first game, Toronto made a statement, beating Minnesota Team handball 30-24. In the second game, the boys faced a strong Chicago team, who showcased their athleticism. In the end it was not to be for our team, losing 24-14. IN the third game, we faced current US Elite National Champions Cal heat, and despite a good start, our small team could not keep up, losing 19-8. Moving onto the rankings stage, Toronto had a rematch with Denver Wolves Team Handball, who lost in last year’s US National D2 Championship to Toronto. They got their revenge beating us 32-27. This pushed Toronto to a 7th place game vs Detroit. Getting redemption after a few touch losses, beating them 26-17. Congratulations to the entire team for a great showing, and despite being short players, showcased heart and passion in each game.
