CPT Scott Pace Memorial Tournament – West Point,NY,USA (Men)

West Point Army will organize a tournament in West Point, New York, USA. The competition will start on Friday and finish on Sunday. A minimum of 5 games will be played for each team.

Handball Club Toronto will make a selection of 15 players to participate in this competition.

Antigen test will be required to go to US and to come back to Canada.

DATES & LOCATION

I’m re-sharing the invitation for our 2022 CPT Scott Pace Memorial Tournament.  The event is set to take place on Fri, 25 March thru Sun, 27 March 2022 at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY.  We have two full-size regulation courts (40m x 20m) at Arvin Gym.

 

FORMAT

We intend to host a 12-team seeded, bracket-style tournament in which every team will play a minimum of four games.  We will play thirty (30) games total over three days.  Four (4) games on Friday evening starting at 6:30 PM, fourteen (14) games on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 7 PM and twelve (12) games on Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM.  All games will be 2x 25min halves.  As a USATH sanctioned event, this will help with points and seeding for Club Nationals at Adrian College in Adrian, MI 12-15MAY22.

 

REGISTRATION

Please notify us of your intent to compete via email by Fri, 18 February 2022.  The event was added to the USA Team Handball Sport:80 competition and is approved.

 

TEAMS

WP Team Handball will have two teams (WP Black and WP Gold) so we are looking for 10 additional teams. We have already received interest from several premier US and Canadian Clubs to include NYAC, NYC, Cal Heat, Handball Quebec, Handball Toronto, Boston, Chicago Inter and Miami Inter along with collegiate teams from Air Force and UNC.  We will determine seeding based on recommendations from the USA Team Handball Committee.

 

VACCINATION

All players, coaches and officials must be fully vaccinated in accordance with USMA and Arvin Gym requirements.  Teams will be required to submit an Attestation Form (attached) with proof of vaccination prior to the event.
